Founded in 2008, Advanced ATC was established from a collective vision of retired FAA Air Traffic Control managers. Our mission is to exceed the evolving needs in air traffic control and rectify the FAA’s growing shortage of qualified air traffic controllers.  We supply the field with confident and equipped controllers ensuring the safety of our skies.

Strategically partnered with Wiregrass Technical College in Valdosta Ga, we provides students access to unique resources and opportunities enhancing their learning experience. With state-of the-art facilities and expert instructors, students receive training that is both rigorous and relevant to their future careers. In 2023, a facility in Selma, Alabama was added, affording students flexibility in choosing a training location that best meets their individual needs.

At Advanced ATC, cutting-edge technology lies at the core of our training programs. The academies boast seven top-of-the-line simulators that offer students hands-on experience in a realistic environment. These simulators replicate real-world scenarios, equipping students with the skills needed to handle complex air traffic situations. The advanced technology enhances training, preparing students for the multifaceted challenges they will face in the field.

A unique key to Advanced ATC’s success can be found in the collaborative training programs established with the Valdosta/Lowndes County and Selma Airport Authorities. Our partnerships allow live, real-time student training with aircraft, utilizing Valdosta Regional Airport and Selma Alabama Craig Field Tower, offering students invaluable practical experience. By bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-life application, these programs ensure students are well-prepared for their careers.
