Will previous FAA Academy experience help a student in the CTO-P program?

Yes. FAA Academy experience can provide a helpful foundation in terminology, phraseology, regulations, and the overall training environment. In fact, all but three of our CTO-P students previously attended the FAA Academy but did not successfully complete it. The CTO-P program is intensive and accelerated, so students should expect a significant amount of material, daily studying, and simulator training. Every student must still learn and demonstrate proficiency in all CTO-P course requirements.
