The graduate reports to the assigned contract air traffic control tower and begins paid, facility-specific on-the-job training. Training typically takes approximately six months, although the actual timeline depends on the facility and the graduate’s progress. After completing all qualification requirements, the graduate earns the CTO Certificate and facility rating for that tower.
