After successfully completing all phases of the 12-month program and passing the required FAA evaluation, a student may receive a Control Tower Operator Certificate with a facility rating. That credential may support opportunities with contract tower operators and other qualifying employers. Future FAA eligibility depends on meeting the requirements of a specific FAA hiring announcement, including the applicable 52-week experience requirement, age, medical, security, citizenship, and other conditions. Employment with the FAA, Department of Defense, or a contract tower operator is not guaranteed.
